Netflix’s much-awaited series Squid Games has just come up with its second season. The season ended with suspense, which led people to search for the release date of season 3, but it seems like Netflix has mistakenly revealed the exact date for season 3 in season 2 itself.
Squid Games Season 3 Release Date
Netflix Korea has just uploaded a video that doesn’t just have an update. Instead, it has a confirmed release date of season 3 as June 27, 2025. The date is so near that this will be a record release for such a massive show in just six months. If the release of its third sequel happens in June 2025, then it would be a shocking thing for all fans to see that the series took 3 years to come up with a second season after the release of the first.
The following season will continue the story of Gi-Hun and his re-entry into the game. The creator of the series, Hwang Dong-hyuk, said he wrote the entire story in one go, but then he thought it would be too much to cover in one series, and hence, he decided to divide it into two seasons. And that will make them more hungry for the next season.
The long wait of 3 years allowed the creator to produce a long 14-episode story, which is now divided equally into season 2 and season 3. As viewers want the cliffhangers of Season 2 to be solved sooner, not later, and the production of the next season has been completed, the launch can be expected in the next six months.
Some other popular series on Netflix may come in the pipeline for launch at the same time, like The Stranger Things Season 5 and Wednesday Season 2. But surely the streaming giant will keep at least 3-month time gap between Squid Games and these two series to make its users intact with the platform.
