Smith is unbothered by the world, learning details about her parent’s marriage, Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith.
The Hollywood A-listers have lifted the veil of illusion from their picturesque union, separations, struggles in the bedroom, and revealing entanglements in the past two years. All of which reached a boiling point for fans last Dec. A petition launched, pleading for the oversharing to stop by demanding that reporters halt covering every morsel of sensationalized intel the pair shares about their relationship and themselves.
But, while the world may be rocked by the seemingly never-ending news cycle of the Jada and Will chronicles, their daughter is largely unfazed. The “Transparent Soul” singer supports her parents’ decision not to hide their truths.
“The biggest disservice you could do is put up a facade and be like, that’s not the case,” she recently said in an interview with a London-based publication. She continued, “I feel I’ve always understood that my parents are their people.”
The budding rockstar, along with her grandmother and mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, hosts the online show “The Red Table Talk.” Many of the details of the Smith family’s dynamic and Jada and Will’s marriage have come directly from conversations held at the table now infamous for lacking the boundaries. For instance, last summer Jada confirmed rumors of her and singer August being intimately involved with one another in the past.
Will has revealed equally eyebrow-raising tidbits as well. In the year 2020 with the release of his memoir, “Will,” the rapper and actor revealed that his wife wasn’t the only one in the marriage entangled with another person — though, unlike Jada Smith, the identities of the actor’s mystery woman or women were never revealed. Will did, however, shed light on a few notable women, such as Halle Berry, that he gladly would have recruited to form his harem of girlfriends.
