Due to the pandemic for many days, most people face meeting new people offline. But the pandemic had a reverse effect on online chatting apps and dating apps. Most of the apps earned a huge amount of profits in the pandemic due to the large downloads and large usage. One of those is Tinder. Even though in most parts of the world Vaccination drive is ongoing for the Covid-19, it is expected that this trend will continue to carry forward.
In simple words, Tinder is basically anticipating “post-pandemic uncuffing season,”. Along with this, the company is thinking of launching a new feature. The most awaited feature is that now the user can upload the contacts to the app. From the contacts, the user can select which of the contacts the user wants to see in the app and which of them will be removed from the contacts list of Twitter.
So, the report of the survey which was done by Twitter itself suggests that. Around 40% of the people have found their ex on the app, whereas 24% have encountered a family member and one in 10 have even encountered their professor. These reports are sure that anyone would feel annoyed after finding their ex again on the dating app.
So, the feature suggests that if the user wants to remove the messages from a connection that is annoying or is sending dirty content. So, the feature suggests that now the user has the ability to block the contact. So, unlike the previous feature, the user needs to fill the form and then enter the username and mobile number of the abusive user. Now the app is allowing the user to access the entire contacts list of the user who is abusing.
Tinder claims that the app will allow the user to only keep the contact information for those you’ve blocked. Not the entire address book. Concerning this twitter makes a statement that suggests “We’re rolling out Block Contacts as an additional resource empowering members with peace of mind by helping create a worry-free space for them to spark new connections,”
