TIGER & BUNNY is a Japanese anime television series that debuted on April 3, 2011. The upcoming new episodes of this franchise are a sequel to the original 2011 anime. Sunrise produced the actual season under the direction of Keiichi Satou.

The show made its appearance on Netflix On October 15, 2017. The original series is available on Netflix in 38 countries worldwide, including the United States, UK, Australia, and Canada.

Tiger & Bunny 2 is set in 1978 in an alternate version of New York City called SternBild City, where 45 years before, superpowered individuals are known as “NEXT” started appearing, and some of them became superheroes. The highly popular superpowered crime fighters work for a sponsor company, and their uniforms contain advertising for real-life companies. Their heroic moments are monitored on the popular television show “Hero TV,” where they accumulate points for each heroic feat accomplished, and the best-ranked hero of the season is crowned “King of Heroes.”

The plot revolves around the life of veteran hero Kotetsu T. Kaburagi, Wild Tiger. He gets assigned a new partner, a young man named Barnaby Brooks, Jr., who has the same power as Kotetsu. The story tells the struggles they face while getting comfortable in each other’s presence while at the same time doing their best to crack the mystery of the murder of Barnaby’s parents. The plot thickens by introducing a homicidal vigilante NEXT named “Lunatic,” who makes the public question the place of superheroes in the city.

It has been eleven years since the arrival of new content, and fans are eagerly waiting for the upcoming episodes. Netflix has confirmed its appearance and revealed that the forthcoming show would have 25 episodes.
