Sidharth Malhotra, Rakul Preet Singh, and Ajay Devgn’s comedy-drama Thank God hit the theatres on October 25, a day after Diwali. During the opening weekend, the film failed to spread its magic at the box office. Thank God clashed with Ram Setu on October 25. However, the latter is outperforming it. We can safely say that Thank God is a disappointing fare at the box office in India.

Thank God was released on October 25 amid a lot of expectations. The film minted a strong opening collection of Rs 8.10 crore at the box office on its first day. On the weekends, the film collected Rs 18.25. On Day 6, it minted 25.40 crores, its first Saturday in the theatres. Thank God hardly added Rs 4 crore to its collections on day 6. Hence, the total box office collection of Thank God would now stand at Rs 29.4 crore, as per early reports. The film clashed at the box office with Ram Setu, which collected Rs 56.50 crore in its first six days.

What is the plot of Thank God?

Indra Kumar wrote and directed the film. Thank God is a fantasy comedy film. It stars Rakul Preet Singh, Ajay Devgn, and Sidharth Malhotra. The storyline follows an egoistic real estate broker in huge debt. He meets with an accident while talking on the call. As he gains consciousness, he realises that he is in heaven and Chitra Gupta is in front of him. Chitragupta appears and informs him that he will have to play a Game Of Life, in which his sins and good word will be calculated, and according to that, he will die or will come back to life, and he will be sent back to earth; if he loses, he will go to hell.
