According to TVLine, the character will be played by Richard Gant. He will begin a recurring role as Sam’s father in the high octane drama’s milestone hour, titled “Work & Family.” The 300th episode will be broadcasted on Sunday, May 8, 2022.
Richard Gant’s previous works include NYPD Blue, Deadwood, General Hospital, Men of a Certain Age, The Mindy Project, Greenleaf, The Neighbourhood, etc. Before this, fans have already been introduced to Sam’s son Aiden and daughter Kamran, his late wife, Michelle. According to facts, Raymond Hanna was a Colonel with the Marines. After sending young Sam to a military academy, he was disgruntled to witness his son join the Navy.
In episode 16, Sam will be looking for ways to sell his beloved boat to help his father, who has Alzheimer’s. And In Gant’s first episode, Sam moves in with his father to take care of him as he labors more and more with early-onset dementia.
In the latest release snaps, both the on-screen son (LL Cool J) and the father (Richard Gant) look fantastic, and hopefully, this plot will bring us closer to Sam’s private life.
