The Father of the Bomb biopic of Christopher Nolan continues to attract Hollywood’s A-list.

Rami Malek, Florence Pugh, and Benny Safdie are the latest actors bringing their nuclear star power to Oppenheimer, Nolan’s biopic of Robert Oppenheimer, set up at Universal Pictures.

The trio joins Matt Damon, Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, and Robert Downey Jr. on the call sheet in what has become one of the most stacked feature projects in recent time.

Universal has called the movie an “epic thriller that thrusts audiences into the pulse-pounding paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world in order to save it.”

Cillian Murphy is leading the cast, and he is playing the character of the physicist who developed the atomic bomb during World War 2.

Florence Pugh will play Jean Tatlock, a member of the Communist Party who has an off-and-on affair with Oppenheimer and was the cause of significant security concerns for government officials.

Benny Safdie will play Edward Teller, the Hungarian physicist known as the Father of the hydrogen bomb.

Rami Malek is playing the role of a scientist.

Florence Pugh, who earned an Oscar nomination for her performance in 2019’s Little Women, starred opposite Scarlett Johansson in “Black Widow,” which made almost $380 million when released in July.

Rami Melek won an Oscar for his turn as Freddies Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody. He is coming off a villainous turn in the Bond movie “No Time to Die,” the highest-grossing American movie of the year with a tally of $765 million.

Florence Pugh is repped by Brillstein Entertainment Partners, UK’s Curtis Brown Group, and CAA. Malek is repped by Brillstein and WME, Benny Safdie by Untitled Entertainment, WME, and Lichter Grossman.
