It is produced by an Amsterdam-based production company Fiction Valley. The series is written and created by Pieter Bart Korthuis.

The show will premiere on April 8, 2:00 a.m. PT and 3:00 a.m. ET. It will be easy to watch since it has only six episodes. We don’t know the episodes’ runtime, but we expect it to be between 40 to 50 minutes like most Netflix shows.

The cast of the show will includes:

Charlie Dagelet as Natasja
Benja Bruijning as Leon
Abbey Hoes as Anoek
Michael Muller as Alexander
Joes Brauers as Mischa
Eric van Sauers as Orlando
Minnie Koole as Frank
Julia Akkermans as Janna
Nick Golterman as Willem
Chris Peters as Ramon

The story is based on the rise of erotic phone lines in the 80s in Amsterdam. The show’s official synopsis reads, “The story of Dirty Lines starts in 1987’s Amsterdam, at a time when Dutch society was changing rapidly. Psychology student Marly Salomon takes on a side job working for a brand new firm, Teleducch-a company started by two brothers, Frank and Ramon Stigter, who established Europe’s first erotic telephone lines. Frank and Ramon become rich overnight, and Marly finds herself immersed in this wild and rapid transformation. The final years of the Cold War sparked a sense of hope and inspired a new generation to celebrate life to its fullest. Amsterdam became the center of that cultural revolution with a radically new form of music, house, and a new love drug, XTC. The erotic phone lines offer the opportunity to experience anonymous sex in a new way, changing the morality of its consumers, but also very much the people creating it.”

The show is rated TV-MA because it will involve erotic talking on the phone, sex, nudity, violence, and smoking. So make sure you enjoy this without your kids wandering around in the house.

Netflix has released the official trailer of the show. It starts with two brothers discussing how the men in town are listening to a phone line where a woman moans and talks dirty. He advises him that this could be a big way to earn crazy money, then we see psychology student Marly recording for the voice tapes. Later the slightest idea of sex talking over the phone becomes huge, and we see money rushing in.

Save the dates to enjoy this extraordinary dutch series “Dirty Lines,” dropping on Netflix on April 8. Till then, stay tuned for more exciting updates.
