1. Stay Alive (2006)

William Brent Bell’s show ‘Stay Alive’ revolves around a group of friends who meet a popular video game following the unexpected death of one of their friends. They decide to play the game to pass their time but soon, they realize that the spectacle of the world is becoming more and more accurate as each time a character dies and leaves the game, the essence of the character departs from reality. The link between ‘Stay Alive’ and ‘Choose or Die’ is that the video game played by the main characters is limited to the physical world and touches the real world.

2. Beyond the Gates (2016)

Directed by Jackson Stewart, the center of ‘Beyond the Gates’ to two isolated brothers meeting at his missing father’s shop. They come across a VCR board game well-known among his father’s stuff, which he played just before his sudden disappearance. As the curiosity gets better, the two siblings enter the cassette and start playing, only discovering that it is not a typical game. Instead, it is a site of some terrifying truth. Such as ‘Choose or Die’ and ‘Beyond the Gates’ involves two characters who try to reach the end of a strange game but find themselves trapped inside it.

3. Circles (2017)

Included with Emma Watson and Tom Hanks, ‘The Circles is a thrilling science fiction film directed by James Ponsoldt. This is followed by Mae, employed by the world’s most influential technology and communications organization. When he meets the company’s founder, Eamon Bailey, he engages in advanced research, which affects the lives of everyone around him, including his friends and family. Except for the same tone, what makes both films the same is that the characters’ actions in the physical world affect what is happening in the real world as well.
