Recently in an interview with The Guardian, while promoting her new movie Being the Ricardos, Nicole Kidman shut down an interviewer for asking a question related to her ex-husband Tom Cruise.
Nicole Kidman is an American-born Australian actress and producer. She is well known for her roles in movies like big little lies, nine perfect strangers, and Aquaman. She is the first Australian actress to win an Oscar, and many times, She has been ranked one of the highest-paid actresses of all time.
Nicole Kidman married Tom Cruise in 1990. They met in 1989, right before the filming of days thunder began, in which they both starred. While married, the couple adopted two children, daughter Isabella and son Connor. They had been married for 11 years, but cruise filed a divorce in 2001, and they got separated later that year. After that, she married Keith
urban in 2006.
Recently, she’s been busy promoting her new movie Being the Ricardos, and the film frames the story of American tv personality Lucille Ball.
In an interview with The Guardian, she’s been asked a question about the marriage with Tom Cruise.
While speaking about the movie, Nicole said, “This film says you can make an extraordinary relationship thrive and leave remnants of it that
exist forever. Yeah, that’s gorgeous. It’s about a creative and romantic relationship that doesn’t work out. But from it come some extraordinary things. And I love that. I love that it’s not a happy ending”.
Disappointed by the question about her ex-husband, she expressed her criticism over the question and added, “And I would ask not to be pigeonholed that way, either. It feels to me almost sexist because I’m not sure anyone would say that to a man. And at some point, you go, ‘Give me my life. In its own right.”
