In his opening monologue on Monday’s edition of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Jimmy Kimmel paid tribute to the late Bob Saget, eulogizing the late actor and comedian by sharing memories of his friendship, performances, and charitable efforts.

“Bob was the nicest. Kimmel described him “Bob has sent me so many great kinds and encouraging messages, emails, and phone calls.”

He was usually ready with a compliment. He’d write just to tell me he loved me, and I know he did that for a lot of people… He had something amusing to say about everything and spoke nothing unpleasant about anyone. Never.”

Kimmel also mentioned Saget’s efforts to collect funds for the battle against scleroderma, a rare autoimmune condition. Saget joined the Scleroderma Research Foundation’s board of directors when his sister, Gay, was diagnosed with the condition. Kimmel referred viewers to the organization’s official website donate in Saget’s honor.

“When my kid was in the hospital, Bob came frequently. I want to convey love to his children, his wife Kelly, and his friends who adored him,” Kimmel stated. “He was incredibly friendly to everyone, and he had no qualms about telling you how much he loved you and how much you meant to him.”

The presenter concluded his monologue by playing footage of Saget and his “Full House” co-star John Stamos on a 2017 episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Stamos and Saget came to the event as guests to pay tribute to comic Don Rickles, who died in April 2017.

Saget, 65, died on Sunday in Orlando, Florida. The comedian and actor were in the midst of a countrywide stand-up tour that was scheduled to go until June 2022.

“Bob was my entire world.” In a statement, his wife, Kelly Rizzo Saget, stated, “I am shattered and in shock. I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of affection and tribute from our friends, family, fans, and peers.”
