Like the Apollo 11 legendary space, Buzz Aldrin says, “Bring your donkey to Mars!”
Following that advice, the third season with ten episodes of “For All Mankind,” Apple T.V. Plus ‘separate from the sci-fi history series, is off the monthly race between the USA and the Soviet Union. Instead, its objects are centered on the mysterious planet Red.
Moving on from its timeline, season 3 of “For All Mankind” enters the decade of the 1990s. As technology advanced, Bill Clinton developed his presidential campaign, and a space station hotel orbited Earth orbit. Yes, space station!
“Everybody always says Elon Musk,” co-producer Ben Nedivi told Inverse. “Dev is a picture of a lot of different people. Steve Jobs. Jeff Bezos. The same is true of many of these technology leaders. But other than that, our motivation was about changing things a little bit.”
“In the 1990’s, technology exploded,” added Nedivi. “Therefore, it made sense that in a world where space racing was such a big deal, one of those ‘190s technology leaders would donate their resources, time, and energy to the space system.”
In addition to Edi Gathegi joining Season 3 actors, Joel Kinnaman returns as NASA star Edward Baldwin, and Shantel VanSanten plays his wife, Karen Baldwin.
Others returning from the Red Planet chase were Jodi Balfour (Ellen Wilson), Coral Peña (Aleida Rosales), Sonya Walger (Molly Cobb), Cynthy Wu (Kelly Baldwin), Krys Marshall (Danielle Poole), and Wrenn Schmidt (Margo Madison).
Race “For All Mankind’s” Season 3 to Mars is playing exclusively on Apple T.V. Plus from June 10.
