In the Dark is another victim of the 2022 CW cancellation wave. With the network on the verge of being sold, the CW is tightening its belt and dramatically downsizing, reworking its entire schedule to feature a limited pool of new and returning shows. However, Season 4 of In the Dark has yet to premiere on the network, leaving some fans worrying about the show’s destiny.

Season 4 of In the Dark is anticipated to go forward as planned. In just a few weeks, fans will be able to catch up with Murphy after that dramatic season 3 cliffhanger. The fourth season will launch on June 6, 2022, alongside the fourth season of Roswell, New Mexico.

In the Dark’s fourth and final season, like Roswell, New Mexico, will consist of 13 episodes. I’m betting the two shows will run on the same day, which would place In the Dark’s series finale on August 29.

When will In the Dark Season 4 premiere on Netflix?

Current Netflix/CW shows typically stream on Netflix roughly eight days following the season finale. If In the Dark finishes its final season at the end of August, it will likely premiere on Netflix in September. There are occasionally delays.

HBO Max is the most excellent option for overseas viewers to watch the show.

Why was In the Dark canceled by The CW?

In short, The CW no longer saw the series as profitable. With a possible sale and streaming mergers on the horizon, The CW has begun to reduce significantly. In the Dark was never one of the channel’s better linear performers, and the only reason it lasted as long as it did was because of Netflix and mainly favorable critical acclaim.
