Anime is one of the most-watched genres, and its audience is increasing even more. For anime fans, it’s going to be great news that classic Dark fantasy anime Bastard!! It is coming on Netflix, and the streaming platform made it official by dropping a trailer.

The teaser is enough to boost the excitement of the fans. The 1992 classic will be revived for the release, and we will get to see the beloved character, Dark Schneider. The series is going to be intense and full of mystery.

For the time of its release, we don’t have an official date yet. Still, we can expect/guess it to release in the summers this year, considering the release of another highly anticipated anime, Tiger & Bunny 2, and Ultraman Season 2 set to release in spring of 2022. Netflix made an official statement taking it to its Twitter account, and unveiled the cover art of the new amine series.

The statement read, “Get ready for a rampage! BASTARD!! – Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy- is coming to Netflix in 2022,” tagged with official cover art of the anime showing the return of white-haired character Dark Schneider featuring his love interest Tia Noto Yoko.

The show’s synopsis is “The kingdom of Metallicana is attacked by the Four Lords of Havoc. This prompts the high priest to ask his daughter to awaken Dark Schneider, a wizard and former leader of the Riders, from within the body of 14-year-old Luche Renren.”

With over 30 million copies sold by 2008, it is one of the best-selling manga series of all time, published by Shueisha.

The Heavy- metal Dark fantasy anime trailer produced by Tokyo production studio Linden films and directed by Goblin slayer director Takaharu and composed by Highschool of the Dead composer Yousuke Kuroda.
