Netflix’s original Spanish thriller teen drama, Elite, has been renewed for its fifth season in February 2020, followed by the news of its revival for the sixth season in October 2021.

Elite is set in a fictional High School titled Elite Secondary School in Las Encinas. The plotline revolves around the relationships between three working-class teenage students enrolled through a scholarship program and their wealthy classmates.

The show’s cast is composed of multiple principal actors and performers who have been given almost equal screen time. It includes María Pedraza, Itzan Escamilla, Miguel Bernardeau, Miguel Herrán, Jaime Lorente, Álvaro Rico, Arón Piper, Mina El Hammani and many more. Many actors were previously featured in other Netflix works produced or distributed in Spain and Latin America.

The show’s previous seasons were released on 18 June 2021 and concluded with eight episodes. Elite Season 4 shows various things in the storyline, including Guzmán murdering Armando, who attacked Ari earlier. Then the killer Guzmán with the assistance of some old friends, ditched the corpse before moving out of the town.

Like this, each season has a gripping mystery that leads us to think about the upcoming storyline. The members joining our leading actors include Valentina Zenere, André Lamoglia, and Adam Nourou.

The show is developed by Carlos Montero and Darío Madrona. The storyline is met with critical acclaim. Rotten Tomatoes’ critical consensus reads, “Elite is highly digestible, technically strong trash TV for anyone with a guilty pleasure palate.” On 17 January 2019, Netflix revealed that the first season had been watched by over 20 million accounts within its first month of release. The series is the second most followed Spanish-language TV show on TV Time’s top 50 most followed shows ever, ranking at number 25 globally.

The script has won the Outstanding Scripted Television Series award in 2019’s GLAAD Media Awards.

Elite probes notions and themes associated with teen dramas and features more refined issues and other sides to its clichés. These include many mixed sexual pieces. Structurally, the series utilizes a flash-forward plot that concerns a mystery element, with each season taking place in two timelines.
