Netflix is getting a new food competition series! The renowned Easy-Bake Ovens that many of us grew up with (or badly desired) will be the focus of Easy-Bake Battle, which will be hosted by Antoni Porowski of Queer Eye.
Netflix achieved a lot of success with its culinary and food-related shows. Is it Cake? is a recent hit. Sugar Rush, School of Chocolate, and other popular series on the streaming service have recently been renewed for another season. Netflix will also release the highly anticipated Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend later this month.
Host of Easy-Bake Battle
Antoni Porowski of Queer Eye will host the cooking competition show. Those who have watched Queer Eye will recognize this since Antoni frequently gives his culinary skills to the group and is a self-proclaimed “foodie.”
Nailed As guest judges, It alum Jacques Torres and Iron Chef’s Kristen Kish will join Porowski on the show. Kish and Torres also contributed to the show’s conception.
Synopsis of Easy-Bake Battle
According to Variety, Easy-Bake Battle will feature home cooks who must fight in two rounds, one savory and one sweet, using just an Easy-Bake-style oven. The grand prize is $100,000, with each combat awarding a prize of $25,000.
The Easy-Bake Ovens are intended for use by children (with adult supervision), but this presentation will be a little different. There will be no children in the kitchen this time, only adult cooks.
Easy-Bake Battle release update
There is no news on when this show will be released. Variety’s report did not specify a release date, although we believe the show will air later this year.
