Despite 2021 being a difficult year for everyone due to the ongoing pandemic, Marvel fans had a blast as they were gifted with various superhero movies throughout the year.

Marvel Studios has been in the limelight for launching various series and introducing multiple new dimensions and opening the gates of an alternate reality for their fans. 2021 was filled with new beginnings.

And among them, we were presented with the 26th film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ‘ETERNALS’. Being directed by an Oscar-winning director, Chloe Zhao, the movie was subjected to many expectations.

Through Eternals, MCU introduced another band of superheroes. The movie is the third massive step into Phase 4 as it provided us with brand new characters. Casting artists like Angelina Jolie, Kit Harington, and the terrific Wolverine cosplayer Kumail Nanjiani, the movie was set to steal multiple hearts.

The movie was released on November 5th, 2021 and it stood up to the expectations. The rating for the movie has been mixed so far. It is rated 47% by Rotten Tomatoes, 6.8/10 by IMDb. These mixed ratings are said to be due to the relationship status of the film.

The movie introduced MARVEL’s first gay superhero, Phaistos, a master inventor (played by Brian Tyree Henry), and its first deaf superhero, Makkari (played by Lauren Ridloff). The film offered a diverse cast to the audiences which is accepted by many yet avoided by some.

According to the reviews by CNET, Mike Sorrentino commented that he liked the risk factor, he said the movie “takes a creative risk with its time-jumping events, but its convoluted plot ultimately lets it down.”

Fans who couldn’t visit the cinema hall, are eagerly waiting for this movie to be released on OTT platforms as it was scheduled to be released on OTT platforms in January 2022.

Their wait is over now, as the release dates on which ‘Eternals’ will stream on Disney+ Hotstar is here. The movie will stream on our home screens on January 12, 2021, and its dubbed version in multiple languages will be available as well.

Fans can watch and enjoy this new band of superheroes in their homes this January, as the movie is set to be released at 09:00 am although it can be delayed up to noon.
