Disenchantment is an American adult animated satirical fantasy sitcom. Matt Groening created the series for streaming service Netflix, marking his first creation for the streaming service.
Matt Groening is an American cartoonist, writer, producer, and animator, and he is also the creator of the comic strip “Life in hell” and the famous cartoon series “The Simpsons”.
The voice cast of the series includes Abbi Jacobson, Eric André, Nat Faxon, John DiMaggio, Tress MacNeille, Matt Berry, David Herman, Maurice LaMarche, Lucy Montgomery, Billy West, Noel Fielding, Sharon Horgan, Richard Ayoade, Meredith Hagner.
The fantasy series follows the story of Bean, a rebellious and alcoholic princess, her naïve elf companion Elfo, and her destructive “personal demon” Luci.
The series has two seasons which consists of two parts each. Part 1 of season 1 was released on August 17, 2018, with ten episodes, then part 2 on September 20, 2019, with the next ten episodes.
Netflix renewed the series for a second season in October 2018.
Part 3 and Part 4 of season 2, with ten episodes each, were released on January 15, 2021, and February 9, 2022.
However, the series has not been renewed for a third season; fans are eagerly waiting for season 3 to happen as the finale of part 4 left a cliffhanger ending.
Since the last part of the series was recently released, we can predict that if season 3 happens, we will see it hit the screens in early 2023.
The old voice will return for the season there reprising their roles Abbi Jacobson as Princess Bean, Eric André as Luci the Demon, Nat Faxon as Eflo, John DiMaggio as King Zøg, Sharon Horgan as Queen Dagmar, Meredith Hagner as Mora the Mermaid, and Tress MacNeille as Queen Oona, Prince Derek and The Ogre Queen.
There may be some new cast adding, but it’s too soon to say anything.
