It’s been 11 years since Daniel Radcliffe played Harry Potter, and the actor has undoubtedly worked on many exciting projects since then.
While promoting his new movie, The Lost City, Radcliffe spoke to Empire and admitted he likes his new reputation. “I think one of the best things that can happen to you is getting a reputation for being weird, or liking weird things. Because this weird is a sort of begets weird, and as soon as you do something like the Horns, the guys who make Swiss Army Man are like, ‘Oh, okay, maybe he is the one who is into that.’ One thing leads to another and it keeps meaning you often get to do the random crazy stuff, which I’m always very happy with to do.”
While talking to the Empire, Radcliffe also revealed he wanted to direct a film that he had written. “I’ve actually got an idea for something that I have written,” Radcliffe shared. “I am hopefully going to direct it, and It will be in a couple of years’ time since the next 18 months at least are pretty much accounted for already so far.”
Although the actor did not share much about the hinted project, he did mention that it would have something to do with the entertainment industry. “It’s always said, ‘Write what you know. I’ve had a very unrelatable life so far, so I would not want to write that,” he laughed. “But I have lately discovered a new way of writing something that is connected to the film industry.”
The Lost City is now available in the theatres.
