Fifty shades of grey, the franchise’s first film, was released in 2015 which was directed by Sam Taylor- Johnson, starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson as the main lead.
In the movie, Jamie Dornan played the role of Christian Grey, a 27-year-old Billionaire besides Dakota Johnson played Anastasia Steele, an English literature student.

He responded, “At the time, I was asked if I was scared of being typecast – as what? As a BDSM-loving billionaire? I think that’s a one-off”.
He further added, “Nothing close to that has come my way again – I’ve barely worn a suit since.”
Meanwhile, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Dakota Johnson also spoke about her role in the movie as Anastasia Steele.
As per the interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 32-year-old actress Dakota doesn’t regret her role in the movie as Anastasia Steele.
She said, “I feel like I haven’t been pigeonholed into anything [because of the role].” “I guess I could have gone in a certain direction, but that’s just not what I was interested in.”
“I couldn’t talk about it to anybody. Nobody in my family knew,”
Further, she added, “I was cast [and] I remember I spoke to Emily Blunt, and I was like, ‘Should I do this trilogy? Because I want to have an awe-inspiring career, and I want to make a certain kind of film. And I know that this is going to change things.’ She was like, ‘F*cking do it if it feels right. Just do it. Always do what you want to do.’
