Major central character death is already on its way to The Flash. While the idea is spread that someone very close to the Team Flash would soon die in the upcoming Season 8, the showrunner “Eric Wallace” has previously teased that the events of the Season 8 will soon dramatically change for the Team Flash going forward. The title of one of the upcoming episode is rumored to be “Funeral For a Friend.” TV Line is also said to have confirmed that the central character will die in the next week’s “Death Falls.” According to the outlet, the character’s death will occur despite the Team Flash’s very best efforts to stop the Deathstorm, though exactly “who” will die is still being left a mystery.

After the current week’s “Death Rises,” the fans are already on their way to speculating that The Flash might be preparing to kill off one of the very last remaining members of the old original Team Flash, specifically Caitlin Snow (played by Danielle Panabaker). The week’s episode also saw Deathstorm’s (played by Robbie Amell) plan revealed to make Caitlin his bride but only to end his loneliness. He had even managed to get so far as to kidnap Caitlin to kick start the process, but she wasn’t quite ready yet. Still, given the amount of sorrow and grief that seems to have been inside of Caitlin after the meeting, as well as the physical pain she has been experiencing, it is safe to say that the transformation is underway.

“The Flash” will now air on Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW. “Death Falls” is said to air on the 4th of May.
