Candace Cameron Bure cried on her Instagram Story Thursday after being “silent” about the elementary school shooting in Uvalde, Texas.

Candace Cameron Bure explained that she needed to “feel this first” before posting and emphasized that a “lack of posting is not a representation of what someone is thinking, feeling or doing.”

“With the tragedy and the loss of those 21 people that is so hard, and as a mother I grieve and I just want to grieve with the people of Uvalde and the families,” Cameron Bure said as tears streamed down her face.

“My heart just hurts for you, but that’s all I want to say on social media right now. I’m just here and I’m grieving with you.”

“Some of us don’t always feel comfortable to, like, have to post everything,” she said, “and that’s all there is to it. … I don’t want to feel like I have to post it for me to acknowledge my feelings for doing what I’m doing.”

Candace Cameron Bure is the latest celebrity to come out and discuss the Texas tragedy, in which Salvador Ramos shot and killed two teachers and 19 children at Robb Elementary School Tuesday.

Actress Niecy Nash’s brother also died in a school shooting, and she reflected on her loss while paying tribute to the kids massacred in this week’s tragedy.

“I’m so sad… my brother was killed on his high school campus,” Nash, 52, wrote on Instagram Wednesday, along with a selfie and a series of other viral posts about the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School.

“It hits different cuz school is a place you should feel safe. I don’t wish it on anyone ???.”
