The music mogul Billie Eilish has joined the club of celebrities who have come in support of the harms of porn. She recently revealed her thoughts very honestly in a podcast interview/radio show hosted by Howard Stern.

She said “I used to watch a lot of porn. I started watching porn when I was 11. I think it really destroyed my brain. I feel incredibly devastated that I was exposed to so much porn.” She revealed how the Online pornography industry is a wreck show and how it affects the brain of young peeps in their adolescence.

She also opened up about how porn has created pressure on her to perform certain acts during sex and caused other worse effects such as nightmares and sleep paralysis.
The singer was brutally honest about the effects of such content on her. Eilish said “I would just watch abusive BDSM, and that’s what I thought was attractive. It got to a point where I couldn’t watch anything else unless it was violent. I didn’t think it was attractive.”

A research body has also confirmed and supported Eilish’s statements. Early exposure to pornographic content affects children’s developing brains. It normalizes sexual abuse, exploitation, and sexual violence. We are always online scrolling through different search platforms this hyper online world exposes youth to such content. And this is virtually impossible to avoid.

A study has reported that 93% of boys and 62% of girls are exposed to pornography in adolescence. Well, Billie is not the only witness and victim of porn abuse. The porn industry is built on exploitation and abusive behavior towards women. It subconsciously grooms women and teenage girls to accept aggression, pain, and violence in sexual involvements.

The porn scripts and visualization set some unrealistic standards for the very natural process of Sex. It equally affects both men and women later leading to body image issue, self-confidence, and sexual choices. The problem is too big to be addressed by a single person, yet the 20-year-old singer tried to drop light on the long-ignored topic of porn, everyone talks about the effects and ends up with no change.

Billie concluded that she is furious on the fact that porn is loved so much and she found herself guilty to think it was ok and not reacting then. Well, Eilish stands for change in society hopefully the herd of fans will join her on this porn awareness journey.
