According to the sources of the galaxy reporters, Apple is planning to remove the default female Siri voices from the hood. The change is effective in the changing of the default settings in the iSO 14.5 beta version. Once the update is added to all the users of the iOS then the user can set up the default voice instead of the Siri in the iPads or iPhones. The user will get the option of setting his own voice or another voice for the default Siri app.

Previously, the option of Siri provides the user the option of choosing the default voice or form the voices in the list provided in the app. According to the report of TechCrunch it is claimed that Siri is going to have the option of the 2 new voices in the future and also claims that “use source talent recordings that are then run through Apple’s Neural text to speech engine, making the voices flow more organically through phrases that are actually being generated on the fly.” and according to the report the 2 new voices will be available globally to the English users only.

The above-given news is the example of the latest news that is claiming that various tech companies are planning to remove the gender bias from the various voice assistant and is planning to launch the option to the user to use his own voice any other voice instead of the default female voice.

Most of the studies have found out that usage of the female voice assistant in the apps may lead to the reinforcement of bias and negative stereotypes and with this there are also some of the embarrassing mistakes that were made by these developing countries but Apple now has taken a wise step of changing the same.

Apple also told the verge that “This is a continuation of Apple’s long-standing commitment to diversity and inclusion and products and services that are designed to better reflect the diversity of the world we live in. “We’re excited to introduce two new Siri voices for English speakers and the option for Siri users to select the voice they want when they set up their device,”
