The Anthology series, I Am…, is soon going to return for its third season. But this time, things might be a bit different. For season 3, Academy Award, BAFTA, and Emmy winner Kate Winslet and her daughter Mia Threapleton will appear in a feature-length episode of the third season.
BAFTA-winning filmmaker created, directed, and Wrote the female-led drama anthology series for Channel 4.
Each episode is developed and written by Dominic Savage in collaboration with the leading actress.
As the series is an anthology series, each episode has a different lead actress, and each episode is named after their lead characters, which includes Vicky McClure starring in “I Am Nicola,” Samantha Morton in “I Am Kirsty” and Gemma Chan in “I Am Hannah.” The second season featured Suranne Jones in “I Am Victoria,” Letitia Wright in “I Am Danielle,” and Lesley Manville in “I Am Maria.”
Season 1 of the series premiered on July 23, 2019, and Season 2 was released on August 5, 2021. Both the seasons consist of three episodes each, released every week, and season 3 will also consist of three episodes.
Winslet’s episode is titled “I Am Ruth.” Filming “I Am Ruth” will start at the end of April for three weeks.
Apart from Kate Winslet and her daughter Mia, no other cast member has been revealed.
The plot for the third season has also been kept a secret. So, We don’t have many details about what will happen in I Am season 3. The only thing we know is that Kate will play Ruth in her standalone episode, co-starring opposite her daughter Mia.
We expect season 3 to hit the screens in late 2022. However, the exact date of the premiere is yet to be announced.
