Fear the Walking Dead is AMC’s ongoing zombie apocalyptic drama based on the post-apocalyptic comic book series, The Walking Dead, created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Tony Moore. The first three seasons of the series served as the prequel to the popular serial drama, The Walking Dead, focusing on a blended family who experienced the start of the zombie apocalypse. At the same time, the following seasons run concurrently with the original show.
The series made its debut on August 23, 2015, and has released seven seasons. The latest season, i.e., season 7 of the series, came on October 17, 2021. It was divided into two parts, and the first part concluded with eight episodes on December 5, 2021.
Season 7 Part B was scheduled to hit the screens on April 17, 2022. Episode 9 is titled “Follow Me.” It is written by Andrew Chambliss & Ian Goldberg and directed by Heather Cappiello.
We saw Alicia declaring war on Victor Strand in the first half, who reigns over a post-nuclear burst barren from his Tower. Still mourning from a chronic fever after amputating her walker-bitten arm during the search for Padre, the sickly Alicia is hunted by Arno and the Stalkers.
The official synopsis of the series’ upcoming episode was released. It summarises Alicia is taking refuge in the home of a mysterious stranger. With her fevers rising worse and Arno following her at every turn, Alicia is forced to face the failings of her past and how she will meet her future.
Unfortunately, after watching the episode, fans were quite disappointed. We expected something more significant and exciting as the synopsis gave thrilling vibes. We were hoping to see the fight between Alicia and Strand, but the episode opened up with Alicia’s dream sequence. Like every time, the primary and essential events were done off-screen, and we felt robbed of a potentially strong plotline.
