Who would have thought we’d be returning to the Forman home in Point Place, Wisconsin? With the upcoming spin-off That ’90s Show, Netflix is returning to the world of That ’70s Show, and it’s going to be one colossal reunion.
The series is set in the summer of 1995 when Red (Kurtwood Smith) and Kitty Forman (Debra Jo Rupp) are caring for their teenage granddaughter Leia (Callie Haverda). She is, after all, Erica and Donna’s daughter.
While That ’90s Show will focus on a new set of adolescents, including Red and Kitty, the spin-off will bring back Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and Wilmer Valderrama from the original series. Tommy Chong will also make a return as fan-favorite character Leo.
Unfortunately, Eric, Donna, Kelso, Jackie, and Fez will not be returning to Netflix in June 2022. The series was not featured in the official list of new movies and shows arriving this month, but we have more information about it.
That ’90s Show release date.
That ’90s Show has yet to get an official release date, but we know that production began in February 2022, with an initial completion date of late June. Because it is a multi-camera sitcom, we may see a shorter post-production period.
The series might still spend three to four months in post-production, with a release date in the fall of 2022. Although the spin-off might appear as soon as September, it could also launch in October or November.
