So far, no one could locate the evidence of other intelligent nations elsewhere in the universe. But if they are, they are likely to hang on Dyson planes around the shells of star-shaped stars called white dwarfs scattered throughout the Milky Way, says a new paper.

And that’s where we should focus on our search for alien creatures, fellow research author Ben Zuckerman, a young professor of physics and astronomy at the University of California Los Angeles, told Live Science via email.

Based on the search findings, astronomers could estimate how many advanced civilizations were hidden in the galaxy, he said.

Live civilization: Modern civilization needs energy: food, transportation, conflict, luxury, and simplicity. According to World Counts, 7.8 billion people on Earth consume about 580 million energy joules annually, equivalent to the energy output of nearly 14,000 million tons of oil. Indeed, almost all human energy comes from fossil fuels, as we lack the technical knowledge to rely on a powerful energy generator in the solar system: the sun.

If humans were to cover the entire surface of the Earth with a solar panel, that would produce at least ten ^ 17 joules of energy per second. That will still lose a lot of energy emitted by the sun, about ten ^ 26 joules per second.

This is the origin of the Dyson spheres, named after renowned physicist Freeman Dyson, who invented the idea in 1960. If advanced civilization wants to use the supernatural power of a home star, they have to build megastructures to capture it and block it. Emit at least some starlight and convert that energy into something useful. Dyson’s first proposal for a solid circle (with 100% solar) does not work due to stability issues. It would not be possible to keep the star in the center, and the whole stadium could disintegrate due to high wave pressure and rotation. However, it is easy to think of advanced forms of ring making or the construction of large structures covered with solar panels for work.
