As per the eligibility criteria, B.E./B.Tech for Graduate Apprentice, Diploma for Technician Apprentice, B.A/B.Sc/B.Com for General Stream, and ITI pass candidates for Trade Apprentice can apply. The minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years and maximum 28 years. Age relaxation will be given to reserved categories as per government rules.
The salary for Graduate Apprentice is ₹18,000 per month, Technician Apprentice and Graduate (General Stream) ₹15,000 per month, while Trade Apprentice will be given a stipend of ₹14,877 per month. This is the monthly payment given during the training which is provided by NEEPCO.

The selection process will be based entirely on merit list, in which the academic marks of the candidates will be taken into account. There will be no written test or interview. First preference will be given to candidates who are residents of North Eastern states where NEEPCO’s power plants are located.
